I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have a special interest in pediatric medication management, neurodevelopmental and genetic disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and co-occuring intellectual disabilities. I regularly use genetic testing (Genesight) to develop a medication treatment plan that is truly tailored to each person and the goals they envision achieving. Consultation only appointments available if you have a psychiatrist you love but would like a second opinion.
I view medication not as a quick fix, but as a supportive stepping stone. Whether you visit us at our clinic or connect from the comfort of your home via video, I will treat you as a whole person, walking beside you to ensure your treatment truly nurtures your life.
I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have over ten years of experience providing medication management for ages 4+ for a variety of conditions including anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, depression, and mood disorders. I take into consideration a comprehensive assessment and develop a realistic treatment plan with patients and families.

I've been in the mental health field for over 25 years and still strive to keep my "beginner's mind". I have a psychodynamic orientation (which means I believe that the relationship between the therapist and you is an important part of the process). My work is informed by many things, including the Buddhist principal that suffering comes from attachment to things we often aren't aware of or simply don't know how to let go of. I've found it helpful to use various wisdom resources, poetry, and humor in therapy.
Regardless of theoretical orientation and style, research has shown that in order for therapy to be effective, people must feel that the therapist has a genuine sense of connection to them. I very much enjoy the work and the people I work with, and I look forward to connecting.

I am passionate about empowering my clients to achieve their goals. Therapy is a highly useful tool which can aid us in our journey to becoming our most regulated selves. My approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, and focused upon your personal strengths. I draw on a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to meet my clients where they are.
I have experience working with all age groups and demographics, and have a special interest in working with teens and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. My therapeutic focuses surround life transitions, managing communication, self esteem, and identity exploration.
I believe that our lives are shaped by the way we interact with the world, which is why I use my therapeutic practice as a way to make my clients feel seen, heard, and understood.

It can be exhausting to spend so much time thinking about what you should be doing differently while feeling unsure how to make things change. Maybe anxiety is taking up more space, conflict in your relationships keeps repeating, or you’re harder on yourself than you would be to someone you care about. Therapy gives us a chance to slow down and look at what’s happening when you feel stuck. Rather than pushing feelings aside or trying to fix them right away, we can listen to what they’re trying to tell us and use that understanding to create meaningful change.
I work with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, social anxiety, blended family dynamics, and religious trauma. My approach tends to draw from mindfulness, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and internal family systems (IFS).
But often, what seems to be even more important than the approach we use is the relationship we build along the way. I want therapy to be a place where you feel comfortable being yourself, feel understood, and can make sense of what you’re going through.

I started my doctoral program in 2000 and could not wait to get through the boring assessment classes so I could start learning about therapy. I mean, really, what can a bunch of numbers and inkblots tell you about a person? Much to my surprise, those early courses piqued my curiosity and the practice of doing evaluations made me a true believer. Hearing clients say things like, “Wow! It makes so much sense now!” or “I didn’t realize I was doing that” is a powerful and humbling experience. Today, assessment is one of my passions because I see how it changes people’s lives for the better.
My approach to assessment is collaborative, which means building a relationship with you to ensure the experience and results are meaningful. Depending on what you are looking for, test results can range from determining a correct diagnosis to providing valuable information about personal motivations and capacities.
Together we develop an assessment plan, engage in the work, discuss the results, and figure out how it fits into your life. Final reports are a combination of your personal insight and my professional experience.

I have been in the field of mental health for 30 plus years. My primary specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma/EMDR, couples, and post-partum concerns. I am also trained in Internal Family Systems, Love and Logic Parenting, and I have expertise in chemical dependency as well. I work with individual adults, couples, adolescents, college age youth.
My approach is holistic, and I often use CBT along with solution-focused and mindfulness-based therapeutic strategies. I integrate these methods based on the unique client and do not believe in a “one technique fits all” approach. I am non-judgmental and easy to talk to. Through collaboration, I empower my clients and promote inner strength and growth.

I am passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of relationships and attachment. Utilizing attachment theory, relational dynamics, and some CBT, I will guide you in understanding how your past influences your present connections. My approach is rooted in empathy and collaboration, creating a safe space for you to explore your feelings, patterns, and behaviors. I believe that healing begins with awareness and that building strong, secure relationships is essential for our mental well-being. Together, we will work to identify attachment styles, challenge thought patterns, and foster deeper connections.
My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, and trauma. I enjoy working with young adults, adults, and couples. For couples interested in pre-marital/pre-commitment work, I am certified as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator and can provide an assessment and feedback sessions.
