My approach aligns with the belief that folks are much more than their symptoms and that each individual has inherent dignity and worth. I provide a customized unique approach with each person to best help them reach their goals. I work with individuals who are struggling to find purpose, are working through a difficult transition, and those who feel like their emotions are controlling them. I have a published literature review on body positivity and the influence on self-image; I utilize self-compassion and somatic techniques to increase empathetic and validating inner self talk.
My specialties include working with queer and nonbinary folx, polyamory and ethical non-monogamy, those who are struggling with interpersonal skills and setting boundaries, and those who struggle with complex thoughts and habits surrounding eating and self-image.
I am a facilitator of DBT groups and provide individual DBT therapy, evidence-based psychotherapy, and individual skills training. When developing a therapeutic relationship, I will work with you as partners to create an environment where we can explore your goals and foster your ideal life worth living.

People are unique human beings with a long list of remarkable qualities. Sometimes though, we feel that we have qualities that we need to work on to be our better selves. I work with individuals to find and strengthen those qualities. I consider each of the individuals who come to me for sessions as just that, individuals with autonomy. I use Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Play and Art Therapy.
I will help you figure out what you need and want, support healthy boundaries in your relationships, teach concrete skills that you can use, and guide you as you re-parent your inner child. Most importantly, in our work together you will find that you are a lovable human being with lots of awesome traits and that you belong in this world.

Life is constantly moving, changing, and evolving. Sometimes it feels like too much to take on alone. In a fast-paced world with many truths, I enable individuals to fully understand themselves in a warm, collaborative, and judgment-free environment. I enjoy working with individuals from all backgrounds, especially women ages 18+. I have a special interest in supporting individuals dealing with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, navigating life transitions, managing relationships, addressing eating issues, fostering positive body image, and enhancing self-esteem.
I believe the foundation for therapy is the relationship. I want to create a space that feels approachable and safe to every individual. I will strive to make the therapeutic process collaborative and centered around your goals, with some friendly challenges thrown in at times. I look forward to working with you, and helping you set and meet your goals!

I have a passion for working with adolescents and young adults and for the unique struggles that they face. Using a person-centered approach, I aim to create a space for you to tell your individual story in a safe and trusting environment. I want to know you and help you feel that your problems are valid, real, and manageable. Though we are all individuals, we grow up and live within systems and social contexts that shape our experiences, and I do my best to acknowledge this aspect of you in addition to your autonomy.
There is no "right" reason to seek therapy. Sometimes life is hard, and talking to a therapist can make it feel a little easier. Whether you are experiencing stress and anxiety from school, feeling sad about a break-up, frustrated from losing a job, or overwhelmed about politics and the state of the world, we can work through that together.

I focus on learning who a person is uniquely, and I take an active role in treatment, offering genuine warmth and support as well as practical feedback. I draw from various theoretical approaches but commonly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindful self-compassion, Exposure Response Prevention, and Internal Family Systems. As a licensed clinical social worker I have had the pleasure of working in cities across the United States with a wide range of individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
I work with individuals 18 and older, and my areas of special interest include anxiety, OCD, mindfulness, self-compassion, and climate-conscious therapy (support for anxiety/distress about our changing ecosystem).

I strongly believe in the transformative power of therapy. I work with clients using curiosity and understanding to explore the roadblocks that keep them from becoming who they want to be. These roadblocks can be met with skills and tools or space to process, ultimately highlighting the client’s own ability to create change. Each therapy session is unique to the individual and their current challenges. I am passionate about creating a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and am dedicated to finding the style of therapy that works best for each client.
I use a blend of evidence-based approaches like CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and offer a direct, holistic, solution-focused lens. At the heart of my work is person-centered therapy, meaning I see you as the expert on your own life.
I specialize in working with young women starting at age 15, but enjoy working with clients of all genders and ages, including couples. My services are offered both in person and via telehealth, depending on the client’s preference and my availability.

Sometimes our lives can become overwhelming and challenging. We might encounter events that are out of our control. Perhaps our relationships are rocky, or we are at some point in our lives where change is disruptive and hard to maneuver. Suddenly, we find ourselves needing support and want to explore what therapy might have to offer. I work with individuals, families, and couples in a range of ages, teen to elder. I am an inclusive provider who is a strong supporter/advocate in working with BIPOC and LBGTQIA2+ communities.
I find it really helpful to create a solid therapeutic connection which allows the individual to feel they are truly validated. Some of the interventions I am trained in include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Brainspotting, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.

Navigating transitionary periods, relationships, identity, and feelings of loneliness, guilt, or shame can be overwhelmingly difficult to manage, not including additional stressors surrounding large family dynamics and conflicts. I am here to support the BIPOC community, in foster and adoptive families, particularly transracial adoptions, and people looking for support in foster and adoption trauma, identity, self-worth, and feelings of fear of failure. If you are struggling to navigate this world and need someone to talk to but don’t know how please reach out. I am here to offer support to teens, young adults, and couples.
As a transracial adoptee from South Korea, I bring a culturally affirming and intersectional lens to every session, using structural, experiential, and narrative modalities. I can offer a voice and guide you through anxiety, depression, relationships, and trauma. I have worked in various settings since 2011, I know personally the realities and challenges.
It takes courage to reach out and may feel scary, but I promise that you have the answers within yourself and my role is to help you unveil it–layer by layer–so that you can bring your best self forward. I believe therapy is the best form of exploring your strengths and sharing your own stories of healing and growth. Let’s connect–reach me by email or phone.

Maybe you find yourself feeling overwhelmed at the prospect of adding one more thing to your plate or tired of trying an endless list of self-improvement tasks, only to feel like the quick fix doesn't fit your circumstances. I meet my clients with a warm, strength-focused, and culturally informed perspective to ensure they are receiving care tailored to them. In addition to the skills and tools you already have, we can use my toolbox: brainspotting, solution-focused therapy, brain-body connection, and systemic therapy to put your experience into context and you in charge of your story—no matter how unmanageable it may feel right now
During a session, you can expect us to reflect on your prior successes–what's worked for you? Just as my experience supporting foster children & teaching art shaped my expertise, your skills inform therapy to be specific & effective to you. My style is collaborative and a touch witty—I lean heavy on metaphors & a bit of therapeutic challenging too.
In short, I believe that everyone deserves peace and I’m here to be a support as you find yours. If it sounds like we could be a good fit, please don’t hesitate to reach out to get scheduled. I offer free 15 minute phone consultations and we have a wonderful front desk staff who would be happy to see if your insurance works out here.
